Hi everyone. Looks like the thread is slower than dirt, and I don't even know what that means or why I say it but I say it all the time. How can dirt be slow?
I can delete troll posts. They have to log in too. I doubt they'll bother much after today, unless this blog starts appearing at the top of search engines.
Also, I thought now was a good time to announce the existence of this blog, since most all of the good folks out there are on the Japan threads.
Just noticing one drawback of this blogspot. You can't reply directly to other posts. It's just one long thread. I'll see if there's a setting for that somewhere (when I have time).
I would like to figure out how to do this too. I had never used a computer to communicate besides email until the earthquake.(except career/work resources)
Hi WNT! When I said busy, I really meant busy on HP today. Got some of my work done as well, of course.
Some days I feel pretty "raw" after spending hours on HP. The news that keeps coming from Japan often just gets to me. I am learning to recognize when I need a break, though. When I get cranky and emotional and I realize I don't like myself it is good to take some time out. :)
I looked for the email info in your comment history but didn't see it. Maybe it was newly posted and hanging in moderation, or maybe I did not go far back enough. If you can give me a clue on date & time of that post, I'll definitely check in the morning and email you.

The "ABACADABRA RABBIT" troll (aka Crop Scientist, aka Murdered Whale, aka AOLisGOD)has begun hateful speech on other threads this evening. If it returns to the Japan thread, I suggest flagging the vile creature as much as possible, until it is banned, like its previous socks were last night.
I have sent a lot of you an email- but some I dont have. I invite you to a sisterblog of this at cuisinehp.blogspot.com. Its a place to talk food, pets, and recipes. Would love to have you!

Winston, Question: When Charles 77 published the e-mail he received from HP, was that the exact same e-mail you got? Because if it was, you have got to be kidding me. We can not say "nuclear cheerleader." I have been called a liar, ignorant and worse. RM was called a liar, repeatedly. I think Charles' "time out" as he described it was a token and they, the NEI crowd, have someone on the inside.
I wanted to let all of you know of some other sites that you might enjoy visiting on occasion. Both of these sites draw from former and some current HP posters. Planet POV, is a rather high-brow site with some excellent writers. You can write an "essay," so to speak, and illustrate it. There is a comment / reply function. One of the founders of the site resides in Japan and she has been reporting her experiences. The other site, and I tryed mentioning this one a few nights ago, is Jackhole's Zen Place. This is basically a chat room and rather bawdy, but there are some great HP people on that site. It's a little difficult to navigate at first, but don't give up. Hey. I've managed to conquer it. I am bringing this up because if any of us are "zapped" it is a way to touch base. Now that WNT has her blog up, it might not be necessary, but, hey, you might enjoy meeting some of these people.

I wanted for us to have a place to meet up in case any of us got zapped from HP. Now that we have this blog, it might not be necessary, but it's always fun to meet up with some new people.
By the way, if you post a comment and it doesn't show up, it probably means the blog thought it was spam. I just found one of G's messages (6:47 pm) in spam, so I released it from spam and it's posted now.
It was two days after the bannings. We were all having a discussion and I was pressing him on how he knew so much about other posters "time outs." I will try and locate it. I was absolutely livid. He was so smug and preachy. Arrrrg.
Before I yell a second time on HP... here it is. ABA - Rabbit has not just one, but quite a few loose screws rattling around in that cavernous space between his ears!!
One thing to get used to on this blog is not being able to fav or reply directly.

I can tell you that when "someone" I know very well got "his" account shut down on Saturday morning, there was no explanation offered by HP, before or after. So the cheerleaders are getting a much longer leash.
WNT, Jtt is the one that has made my life miserable. I try so hard to avoid him. He was ranting about me and RM for days after I called him out when he called RM a "liar." He seems to have calmed down somewhat, but he can be very aggressive. Oh, the drama that is the HP world. Ha!
I don't know about j tt wanting to be friends. I would say BEWARE!! He can get incredibly mean and nasty when someone doesn't agree with him. Between him, Charlie and the Silly one, J tt is the one I would not get into a car with. JMO
