I don't know about you, but I'd like to see more tap water data from Berkeley. If you want this too, please leave a comment on their forum. It says they will test more tap water if enough of the public shows interest.
Amazing. I found this link on NHK's website. OMG, it actually gives daily reading from the plant. It's easy to follow and you can see when they had big releases. You have to click the NEXT tab, under each date, in order to see the air readings.

I have to confess that I am uncomfortable discussing things here, where anyone can see it, so I, for one, am going to mostly keep my opinions to myself here... for now....
I'll check in, of course, staying in neutral gear. :)
carpe, we tend to move back and forth between browser tabs, so if you want to post your question, people are apt to respond in time....
Susanne, I completely know what you mean, about the exposure of this discussion on the web. It is too bad we can't have some sort of password protected space, although I know that would have headaches too. This kind of forum is probably the best we can do.
I have never had the trash can. I have to log in with Word Press, and I have to do it for each comment (annoying). So I think whether or not you get the trash can may depend on what kind of account log-in you use. That's my guess.
Winston, there is another way.. there is a forum which is protected, you need password, you can only join, view and take part if accepted, costs 3 bucks per month for up to 125 members... am willing to spring for it.
(I am familiar with it because it was used for a training class I was part of last year)
info will come in email...
G. do you still have my email address? or Winston's? AD's?
I just worry a bit about the headaches of verifying who is accepted and who might be a "mole" claiming to be a familiar HP poster but in fact being someone else entirely. No system is perfect.

FYI, I used the contact us link to share with HP community folks the admission by the rabbit that it is a sock for a banned persona. We'll see if anything comes of it.

Thanks, I took a cautious approach with seachange. I didn't want to post anyone's email at HP or the URL for this site, but I left him/her a message suggesting the he/she touch base with WNT.
I think it might make sense to bring new members in here, then figure out a way to exchange email info, then bring them along to your new protected space.
On another note, I just noticed that a large number of the HP comments I made last evening have been methodically scrubbed.

hi g,
ReplyDeleteDid you see the curious phenomena of the very brief HP life of "Low and Behold" this morning?
Susanne,

How do I use that trash can thing?
I hate sounding illiterate, but I guess I am. : )
G. it should be to he bottom right of your comment, it is only there for a short while for me (Mac computer and Firefox here)...
ReplyDeleteI am unable to delete older comments, which bothers me

Winston, it is only by invite right now... I've set it up, first month is free, if it doesn't work, no problem..
ReplyDeleteShould be ready to go by late this afternoon...EST

Good job, Susanne.
ReplyDeleteI am open to paying for a protected forum.

Any problem with that?

Great Winston. Sorry about your deleted posts! :)
ReplyDeleteSusanne,
ReplyDeleteI am just grateful that my account remains intact, given all the recent carnage.
The trash can is gone for me too. Something must be wrong with google blogs. I will investigate.
ReplyDeleteNever mind, the trash can is back, now that I posted my first comment of the day.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a post you'd like me to delete and you can't use the trash can, let me know the date and time of your post and I will delete it.
ReplyDeletethank you WNT - appreciate -
